A few ways to begin encountering Southeast Asian Peoples include:
- Visit Sacred, Religious Sites (e.g. Buddhist Temple, Islamic Mosque, etc.)
- Eat at an Ethnic Restaurant (e.g. Malaysian Restaurant, Thai Restaurant, Vietnamese Restaurant, etc.)
- Shop at Ethnic Supermarket
- Attend one of the Festivals
- Go to Places that they Work
- Etc.
TAKE NOTE: Critical in the process of encountering Southeast Asian Peoples is making objective observations and asking cultural sensitive questions. Without both, one can easily draw conclusions that are not true concerning Southeast Asian People and who they are in reality.
